Apparently the tool to take screenshots in Chrome for desktop will have some additional editing options with respect to the Android version.

Currently it is possible to enable the tool to take screenshots in Chrome stable with a flag but, after taking the screenshot, the only option available is "Download", in the future Google will add another button to the dialog, "Edit", this button can already be enabled in the Canary version but, as I mentioned on Twitter, the editing tools are not available yet.

In Chrome for Android, the Screenshot tool offers 3 editing options, Draw, Crop and Text, but in the desktop version (if all goes well) there will be some additional options like Circle, Rectangle, Line, Arrow, Emoji and Highlight, this according to a new commit:

Code changes.

ICYMI: Chrome's side panel will get some nice improvements.
