Do you see ChromeOS becoming a competitive platform for developers?

I believe in theory ChromeOS has the potential to become a competitive platform for developers if it really is able to hone in well on the Linux/Chrome interplay. One has a solid OS to perform routine tasks that works very efficiently, but also access to Linux for development. Of course this is the whole point of project r/Crostini however it still not in a production ready stage. I believe if Google really gets r/Crostini right and transforms ChromeOS into a system usable by students/internet surfers (for the economical and smooth Chrome experience) and by developers (for the safe, reliable, linux experience), it could really hit great success.
