In this article, we will learn how to share links to a specific word or sentence using Chrome for Android.
Share Link to Text
Google recently introduced a new feature called Text Fragments. Don’t worry about the fancy name. Here is how it works.
We normally share links to a page. If we have to share or highlight a word or a phrase on that page, we use screenshots.
What if you could send a link directly to a word or a sentence? This will work similar to sharing link to a specific point (timestamp) on a YouTube video.
On the desktop version of Chrome, a simple right-click does the job. Here is how tod o it on your Android phone.
- Select the word or phrase that you want to highlight.
- Tap Share.
- Tap the blue link (chain) icon.
- The link is copied to your clipboard. You can now paste and share it.
