How to Set Up Phone Hub on Your Chromebook

Phone Hub allows you to control your Android phone using your Chromebook. This article explains how to set up Phone Hub on your Chromebook.

Note: Phone Hub is currently available only in the Canary channel of Chrome OS. You will soon see this on the Stable channel. If you do not see this feature on your Chromebook yet, wait till the Stable channel update.

Enable Phone Hub

To enable Phone Hub:

  1. Go to Settings > Connected Devices.
  2. Enable the Phone Hub toggle.

You should now see the Phone Hub icon next to your system tray on the bottom-right corner of your screen.

Next, you should allow Phone Hub to access notifications on your phone. To do this, enable the “Notifications” toggle:

You can also click Set Up from the Phone Hub prompt.

You should now see a pompt on your phone:

Select Turn on notifications.

Enable the Allow notifications toggle.

Select Allow to confirm.

You are now set to manage your phone and receive notifications on your Chromebook.

You can also view and open recent Chrome tabs from your phone, right from the Phone Hub panel on your Chromebook.
