Chrome OS can now display date on the system tray or taskbar. In this article, we will learn how to enable date on taskbar.

Enable Show Date in Tray
As a work-in-progress feature, you will need to enable an experimental flag to try this out.
- Open a new tab and go to chrome://flags
- Search and locate the Enable Show Date in Try flag.
- From the drop-down, select Enabled.
- Restart your Chromebook.
After the restart, you should see today’s date on your Chromebook system tray. The system tray is the area on the lower right-hand corner of your Chromebook screen.
Summary
Now that we have the ability to show date on the Chromebook desktop, I would love to see a calendar widget as well.
I tried clicking the date after enabling this new feature, hoping that it will open a calendar. However, looks like we don’t have that ability yet.
Is there any other small feature similar to this you wish your Chromebook had? Let me know in the comments section below.
