LPT: Enter any Unicode character by pressing Ctrl+Shift+U

Today I learned you can enter a Unicode symbol by pressing Ctrl+Shift+U, then typing out the hex code for the symbol, then space/enter.

For instance, the degree symbol (°) has the hex value 00B0, so you can type

Ctrl+Shift+U 00b0 <Enter>

which becomes °.

I've been using Chromebooks for almost 10 years and never knew this!

If there's a symbol you need to use, you can find its code point by Googling it or searching at compart.com/en/unicode, e.g. compart.com/en/unicode/search?q=degree.
