youtube homepage never loading

I have chrome on my mac and pc but whenever i launch the youtube homepage, it just never loads and stays loading for hours. I just want my youtube homepage to show up when i search for it. however, when i click on the youtube button on the youtube page, my youtube homepage loads? im just confused and need a fix for this. thanks
