It's pretty handy to be able to run GUI apps from my Linux proper machines, over the network, on my Chromebook.
I wasn't even sure if Linux GUI apps were working when I got my Chromebook. Turns out, Linux apps on different computers even work.
As someone with back problems, being able to access all my machines via SSH is essential to my work flow. Being able to run any app, just like it's locally installed, is a life saver.
You just want to use the -X flag when connecting via SSH to activate X over SSH:
ssh -X [email protected]
